English term

occupancy rate

GBK English to Dutch Social Sciences Tourism & Travel
Definition from Tourism Knowledge:
Refers to the number of rooms or beds occupied by guests on any given date, usually presented as a percentage. Because accommodation is perishable (i.e. if rooms are unsold on the 1st December, there won’t be another chance to sell them), high occupancy rates are essential to profitability
Example sentences:
New York City's hotel occupancy rate is climbing, and jobs are being added to the city's service and retail sectors, according to new data, even as concerns about the local economy are reaching a fever pitch. (New York The Sun)
Lucia Dwi Cahyani or Ani, assistant marketing communications manager of the Hard Rock Hotel in Kuta, said her hotel's occupancy rate was well above 90 percent until Monday, higher than the average occupancy rate of 75 percent on normal days. (The Jakarta Post)
Occupancy rates of star-rated hotels have also increased. On August 12, occupancy rates of five-star hotels reached 80.3 percent, a rise of 0.3 percentage points compared with August 8. Two-star hotels and below saw their occupancy rates increase 30-40 percent, with an increase of 2-4 percentage points over that of August 8. (The Official Website of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games)

bezettingsgraad

Definition from Wikipedia:
De bezettingsgraad is een percentage dat aangeeft in welke mate de totaal beschikbare capaciteit - van een productiemiddel - daadwerkelijk benut wordt. Dit percentage wordt bepaald door de benutte capaciteit te delen door de beschikbare capaciteit.
Example sentences:
De gemiddelde bezettingsgraad in hotels nam sterk toe van 69,2 procent in 2005 naar 72,1 procent in 2006. (internet)
Note from asker:
is it in writing or an audio recording? it doesn't really make any sense at all, but reshuffling the words I can get: di cosa ha bisogno che io faccia (per dire la verità)? Alternatively, he's lied so many times that he quite needs a new face to talk... but really never heard
It was an audio recording that was then transcribed. Also, I think you're right in re the "reshuffling" of the words.
I think like Shabelula: this italian expression has no sens. I 'm italian but I have never heard Belfiore.
I'm sorry...my handy is crazy today: I have never heard it before
I agree with Shabelula. Or maybe it's not "faccia", could it be "fascia"(a band)? Like a piece of cloth?!
@tks all. if it was a recording, then transcribed, and you have the transcription, easy to swop words (for example during a hearing, the hand-transcriber is usually a court clerk taking notes... ?) I would go for "cosa devo fare per farle dire la verità?"
Do you know which region/city the attorney & witness are from and could that be a factor? If the sentence reads "As a witness, you're bound to tell the truth, what faccia do you need, for crying out loud?" then perhaps the only thorny bit is figuring out what faccia means here?
The person being deposed was born and raised in Rome in a wealthy household. I am not clear about his educational level however.
May the may be You can find the sence of the sentence in the text of a song of Vasco Rossi. The title is "the truth"....che faccia ha la verita'.. f
