But what is the translation of the term into French?

Effectivement. En fait, il s'agirait de "clamping properties", vous trouverez des exemples sur le Web, et oui, propriétés de serrage ou quelque chose du genre pourrait aller. Bonne chance!

Une typo? C'est possible, en effet! Dans ce cas, tout s'éclaire! Et je suppose que ce serait "propriétés de serrage"?

Not at all! It's a spec sheet about an existing product (POP Vgrip rivet). I assume that the term "claim" should be known by experts in the field...
Maybe "Facteur de constriction" would do, or "étranglement"...

Nothing that would really help... I have given the definition that I have for claim, that's the best I can do. The document is not more helpful I'm afraid...
