In the event that the balance of the said bond shall not be repaid by me within twenty-eight days from the date of the said dismissal or termination, the said balance of the said bond shall bear interest from the twenty - ninth day after the date of the said dismissal or termination, (as the case may be), to the date of actual payment at a rate which shall not exceed the Inter-Bank rate by more than four percent or if there should be no such rate the corresponding or nearest appropriate rate thereto at the date upon which the said sum falls due or becomes payable or where there shall be no such rate 18 per cent per annum
