French term

par -12C extérieur

Non-PRO French to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering Describing temperatures
This is a manual for a geothermal heat pump, which is claimed to have a "température sortie d'eau 65C par -12C extérieur."

I think this means it will output water at 65C even when the ambient/external temperature is as low as -12C - but I'm not sure, and would appreciate some confirmation or correction!

Help much appreciated.

agree Charles Hawtrey (X) : Described in detail in httphttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_pump or or http://www.gshp.org.uk/index.htm. Tony's right: there's no EN equivalent of the short FR "par -12deg"
