English term

upgrade from/to

English to French Other Tourism & Travel on-line sales
This is upgrading one's hotel or flight service. It seems to me that "améliorer" doesn't work in this case.

Discussion

Tony M Oct 2, 2008:
There is nothing wrong with the question; the 'text' is just an explanation of the meaning in the headword question...
cenek tomas Oct 1, 2008:
La question est mal posée."upgrade from..to" n' apparaît pas dans le texte.
Sheila Wilson Oct 1, 2008:
On a vraiment besoin du contexte - tout dépend sur le contexte

sa reservation, l'échanger contre... mais je ne crois pas qu'on puisse adjoindre une préposition directement à "surclasser".

surclassement de... à...

This is the expression used by one of my big resort clients.

downgrade = déclassement
Peer comment(s):

neutral Anne Girardeau : If we're splitting hairs here, between noun/verb, then it should be surclassement de ... en

Not splitting hairs as such, just the way it was used by one client; and they definitely use 'à' (rightly or wrongly!)
