En artículo científico sobre propagación in vitro de especies arbóreas:
"Las semillas de Guaiacum sanctum fueron lavadas en agua de tubo, en agua con jabón, y sumergidas luego en cloro comercial al 100% (3.5 i.a.)".
No estoy segura de qué significa "al 100%" seguido de "(3% i.a.)". ¿Alguien me puede guiar?
¿Cómo se puede acomodar?
¿Qué sería "i.a."? Hay una parte donde lo usan con minúsculas, y otra donde aparece la "i" minúscula y la "A" mayúscula.

Percent active chlorine is a unit of concentration used for hypochlorite-based bleaches. One gram of a 100% active chlorine bleach has the same bleaching power as one gram of chlorine. The term "active chlorine" is used because most commercial bleaches contain substantial amounts of chlorine in the form of chloride ions, which have no bleaching properties.
