stringers
"stringers" is the technically correct term. If you want to translate the text as given, I'd suggest " the stringers (or flanks or ribs)".

This applies to straight stairs because your question doesn't say anything about the stair not being straight. But if you're talking about a spiral stair (as your other questions suggest) then I'm not so sure. Check it by googling for "stringer + stair" in English.
