It really depends on the context - there may be an equivalent English expression but I would translate it differently depending on context.
I'm not so sure about the Egyptian expression anymore, but I think it means somthing like "everybody's darling"

فرخة بكشك in Egyptian Arabic is said when someone becomes closer to another after bad blood. A third party would scold one by calling the other that. i.e. you and Ali are friends now?! Ali is the ants pants now?!
