agree Rachel Douglas : It's interesting that most of the matches for "seven feet under the keel" are from Russian sites. Still, "feet" - it must be of English origin. "Fair seas and following winds" sounds right to me.

agree Nicholas Krivenko : A good one. @Rachel: in this case it's about maritime lengths and other measurements. Think about the word "mile" which is the same in both languages: sea mile v. морская миля. Some are translated: knot v. узел.

agree Ed Friesen : "Godspeed" is the way it's usually spelled. (I wouldn't use the possessive. God is commonly considered to be ubiquitous and invariant, so it would be contrary to His/Her/Its nature to have speed.)
