This item appears in the dessert menu. Does anyone know what it is? I don't think it's coffee (wouldn't it be written as "café Carioca"?). The only thing I could find on the 'net is this link: http://www.lasagneria.eu/desserts.xml which suggests it is a pâtisserie.

I've done work for this client before. It is a large ski resort and when I ask for clarification, I always get a vague response (they don't bother asking the chef or the restaurant staff). Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

Coffee Carioca

The dessert (a Pierre Hermé creation) goes by that name in English, too. It's made with coffee-soaked genoise, mousse, ganache and nuts. (See photo and description)

agree Carol Gullidge : yes, Carioca is a type of coffee (or a way of serving it), so I guess the dessert gets its name from the "Espresso-syrup soaked Genoise layers" in the link. Yummy!

Looks like a small coffee flavoured dessert
I'd keep crème anglaise which is now widely used in the UK (don't know about the US)
Note that Baileys does not take an apostrophe
