This is from a transcript from a Secondary School. The sentence reads as follows:

"XXX a suivi des cours réguliers d'enseignement classique durant les années académiques..."

Are they referring here to secondary studies?

classical studies/classic program

I think it refers to higher education, as you have "académiques" which I feel is improper. You should have "universitaires" which translates the English word "academic".

classical education

I think more context could be important here. Either the student could be following a specific course in 'classics' or could be following a programme of classical education - ie the standard primary, secondary, tertiary structure. See wiki reference below.
