Rahel was too short to balance in the air above the pot, so Ammu and Baby Kochamma held her up, her legs hooked over their arms. Her feet pigeon-toed in Bata sandals. High in the air with her knickers down. For a moment nothing happened, and Rahel looked up at her mother and baby grand aunt with naughty (now what?) question marks in her eyes.

In romaneste si surorile bunicilor se numesc tot matusi, sau termeni de alint echivalenti matusilor (tusa, matusica, tanti, etc.) cred ca daca se stie dinainte despre cine este vorba, si care e relatia exacta de rudenie, nu mai e necesara folosirea unui termen foarte exact.
