English term

take credit for

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Petroleum Eng/Sci
Me aparece este verbo varias veces en el mismo documento y no consigo descifrar lo que significa, os pongo a continuación algunas frases donde aparece:

- Credit can be taken for the beneficial effecto of non-specialist protective devices.

- The choice of a strategy should be made at an early stage when it is possible to take credit for these features before committing expenditure on extensive protection.

¿Alguna sugerencia?

agree Naya Lizardo : to "take credit for" is to attribute merit/credit so I believe the translation is "atribuirse merito"
