What crap! (What a load of crap!)

This is a slang expression and needs something a bit stronger than just "stupidity".
Hope it helps.
Good luck.
Sarah.

What a ridiculous idea! -- What a Stupid Idea!

What a ridiculous idea to have the open top bus parade in the middle of the week !!! Not only did it mean many fans were at work, but the whole of the City Centre was gridlocked for hours and hours - it took me 45 minutes to get from Weaman Steet to Five Ways. Next time, wouldn't it be better to hold it on a Saturday ?!?!

neutral Sarah Brenchley : I don't understand the relevance of the reference - apart from the fact that "ridiculous idea" appears

What a stupid thing!

A "huevada" is something stupid. It is a very colloquial expression.

Bullshit

That's a lot of bullshit

In Argentina "¡Qué huevada!" is not quite an educated expression. To me, this is the closest in meaning. Expressions such as "stupid" or "crap" are too mild.
Peer comment(s):

agree Sheila Hardie : I think 'bullshit' is good too, but 'crap' is not mild in my opinion - maybe it's a UK/USA thing:)

Thanks, Sheila
agree Henry Hinds : It is a Chilean expression, and this is a good equivalent, I think an Argentine would say "boludez" and a Mexican, "pendejada".
44 mins
Henry: thanks, but ... who told you it's a Chilean expression? I've got many Chilean friends but have never heard them say ¡Qué huevada! In Argentina it is very common to hear it, but boludez is even less educated (though not less often heard)
agree luskie : also with SJH

agree Russell Gillis : I like this one if the use is more vulgar. I think Henry was thinking of "huevón" or "hueón", which is common in Chile.

Hi, there, boss... Though I was taught to say "holy cow", mind you
agree Angela C. : I am Chilean and that is the meaning. I also agree with Henry

That's senseless!

All the expressions that have been suggested make sense, this is another one that can be used. Just make your best choice.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Monica Colangelo : Ingrid: I would use your suggestion if a child asked me what the phrase meant. But the original is quite vulgar (you wouldn't get my mother to say it for all the money in the world)
