German term
kalibriert seine Leistung direkt an der Glasfaseraustrittsstelle
German to English
Medical
Medical: Instruments
Urology Laser
"Der ABC-Urologie-Laser, der in Europa als XYZ-Lasersystem angeboten wird kalibriert seine Leistung direkt an der Glasfaseraustrittsstelle während die Wettbewerber üblicherweise den Leistungsoutput nur an der Anschlussstelle messen und entsprechend weniger angeben."
From a text about a urology laser (for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia). I'm sure the above sentence needs at least one extra comma, but it's reproduced "as is". I don't understand what "kalibriert seine Leistung" or "Glasfaseraustrittsstelle" mean, but I'm not sure what specifically "an" means here either, and the whole phrase has just got me totally stumped. TIA for your help.

measures its power directly at the output of the fiber-optic cable
although the German uses 'kalibriert' the context leads me to believe that they are really saying 'messen'.
Other than that, they are measuring this directly at the output of the cable. See this link, scroll down to "Measuring Power"

: I believe it is also 'measure' not 'calibrate' and also agree with the 'output of the fiber-optic cable'

finetunes its output immediately at the glassfiber's exit point
or: adjusts its output immediately at the glassfiber's (glassfiber tube's?) exit point.
Or just 'sets' or 'regulates' instead of 'finetunes'
I believe it's used in cystoscopies to diagnose prostate and bladder conditions

Discussion
they talk about a "Green light laser" procedure and "photoselective vaporization" I am not at all sure whether this is it; there fore I am not posting it as an answer...
for starters, here is a description of the procedure. I hope it sheds some light on it; couldn't find the term (yet) however.
