Исходя из ниже указанной ссылки "Image studies" можно использовать на равне с "imagology", а вот что касается валеологии, то, поскольку наука эта была основана в России и состоит их двух слов латинского и греческого происхождения, так и стоит переводить, так как сложно найти краткое и адекватное объяснение этой концепции о здоровом образе жизни в английском языке.

Хотя термины и выглядят иностранными, английского происхождения, судя по Google, очень похоже, что они придуманы за пределами англоязычных стран. Во всяком случае, dictionary.com этих слов не содержит. Поэтому, мне кажется, можно рискнуть принять написание из более или менее официального русского источника - http://www.academim.org/anons_simp_en.htm - за более или менее верное.
В случае валеологии, все источники, вроде бы сходятся на одном написании - valeology.

: The link you give was to the only site I found that used "imageology" in the meaning of "a social science." Maybe they misspelled it in English.

I trust you have reviewed all 15600 hits, James. Thank you for the Titanic work! I was too lazy for that. However, "imagEology" would be rather correct spelling as opposed to "imagology", although none is in dictionary.com

Spelling matters. There seems to be a difference in meaning between "imagology" and "imageology." "Imagology " in both Russian and English usage is a social science.:
