Spanish term

ejecución

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software
I'm revising an excellent translation of instructions for a multimedia training course, but I am just not comfortable with "execution" as it's used in these two examples.

Any ideas?

Podemos retroceder, avanzar o detener la ejecución.

(You can move backwards, forwards or stop the execution.)

Los indicadores de carga y ejecución te indican respectivamente el porcentaje de explicaciones...

(The loading and execution indicators show you the percentage of explanations you have downloaded in your computer and the percentage of explanations...)

"Ejecutar" is often used for play, so perhaps it's what you're looking for here.
Example sentence:

You can rewind, fast-forward or stop play.

I would use different terms for the two examples as follows:

I would specify what you are stopping as in the examples above. I think that's the only way it's really going to sound natural in English.

As for the other example I would use "download" - if I understand correctly this function allows you to see the number of downloads completed.
