German term

Pentaflexfugenband

German to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
Es entfällt: Waschabwurfrohr, Ytongwand

Hierzu kommt Pentaflexfugenband, + Türe im Kellergeschoss - Umfassung!

This is from a building contract for a residential building. It is under the Sonstige Vereinbarungen section. I'm not sure if the previous entry relates to this one. Is the Pentaflexfugenband a substitutue for the Ytongwand?

Discussion

Hello. Yes. I think the Pentaflex part is a brand name. And the Ytong wall is some sort of concrete wall. You might be right but I am wondering if there is a precise name for this.

water stop / water bar

Just an idea, to try and help, Shane. I found "fugenband" on Leo, as meaning "water stop / water bar" - used in construction!!! I wondered whether the Pentaflex is a brand name and it is some sort of water stop/bar???

Could possibly have something to do with putting in a water barrier in the wall. Could Ytong- possibly be a brand name as well???
