: There's an old Jean Claude Van Damme martial arts movie called "Blood Sport" and it doesn't involve animals. I think it just has to be cruel, as the name slaughterball implies.

Thank you. Dictionary definitions of "blood sport(s)" tend to say that it involves animals, but of course the term can be applied metaphorically, or humorously, to cruel sports generally.
