German term

endfällig

German to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s)
In relation to a loan agreement, can you please explain what this means? That the interest only needs to be paid once the loan matures?

Die Zinsen sind endfällig.

Thanks in advance.

payable at term

It's not a "balloon payment" a balloon payment is where there are regular instalments over a period followed by a large sum at the end of the term (this is quite common in lease/hire agreements for cars) - endfällig means that ALL the interest is payable at the end of the term

balloon payment

I also found balloon payment and balloon loan in this connection once.
You are write, "endfällig" means that the capital and/or interest is paid at maturity. Often only interest is paid and the capital is repaid at maturity.
