English term

levered in

English Bus/Financial Medical (general) occupational health and safety
I can't make sense out this sentence, especially the bit between ** **. Should there not be an "and" between customers and employees?

Suggestions are welcome.

A further £2,023,851 was raised from customers, employees and other organisations levered in as a result of the Co-operative Group's input.

, levered in

There's a comma missing after organisations...

"...and other organisations, levered in..."

I must admit, 'levered' is a bit of a clumsy word here. Perhaps the orignal author/translator could have chosen better.

Peer comment(s):

agree Dr Sue Levy (X) : other organisations which were levered in (brought in) following the Co-op group's input

leveraged in?

As this is financial, could this be the word that was misspelled?

Just slightly above a guess, as I have never heard it used in this way. Of course, I have never heard 'levered in' either....
