Glossary entry (derived from question below)
German term or phrase:
Internet-Angebot
English translation:
website content/Internet service(s)
German term
Internet-Angebot
Der Schutz von Kindern, die ***Internet-Angebote*** nutzen...
Links und Verweise zu anderen ***Internet-Angebote***
Es geht hier um den rechtlichen Hinweis zum Datenschutz.
Dieser Begriff kommt sehr häufig vor und irgendwie widerstrebt es mir, ihn mit***Internet offer*** zu übersetzen :-(
Liege ich falsch? Hat jemand einen Vorschlag?
Vielen, vielen Dank schon jetzt

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

: It's certainly better than some of the tech-speak out there, and describes the phenomenon quite well.

: Just because it scores loads of Google hits it doesn't mean it's right. Of course the expression Internet offer exists in English. But it generally means something entirely different from Internet-Angebot!

: With all the disagrees. In this context in English, an Internet offer would be a single, specific item offered for sale at a special price via the Internet, which is not the intended meaning.

: @Namy, Brigitte: You didn't limit your search to English-speaking domains and you didn't check if the meaning matches, did you?

: or 'everything available on the website of XXX' in the first instance. If the context is legal, perhaps 'information, goods and services available on or via the website of...'. A literal translation is totally off the mark here.

: This would be called "Angebot im Internet", while "Internet-Angebot" nearly always refers to website content as evidenced on German-speaking Internet domains
