pithead festival
or festival in the old colliery or coal mine.
It's not a booze-up (not "zechen" in that sense).
Something like the Zeche Zollverein in Essen, which actually has a Zechenfest. The mine is now closed down for coal mining, and the pithead buildings are used as cultural centres, museums etc.

There is a colliery in Yorkshire that hosts a music festival, too:
"Barnsley Main Colliery
This disused Colliery hosts the Barnsley Original Music Festival.
The remains of the pithead make an impressive backdrop to the festival."

Comment: "Thanks to all who put some thought into this, apologies that I am only now just returning to grade it. As soon as I saw your answer, Victor, I think I nearly knocked myself out with the smack I gave my head. Talk about a Eureka moment! Sometimes it's hard to see the wood from the trees, thank you for shining that light! It was indeed to do with an old colliery. And Henry, no don't worry, nothing to do with mining! :-)"

festival
My town has a "Fiesta La Ballona" every year. The Ballona creek runs thru town and we are in souther California, so we get the Spanish wording.
so festival might fit in.

(Coal-) Miner's Festival
it's probably a town in the northwest of Germany? I'm guessing, anyway - the Zeche is a coal mine
