In a patent on a fuel injector: "In den Druckraum des Kraftstoffeinspritzventils ragt das Ende seines EINSPRITZVENTILGLIEDS ..." Later on this thing is referred to as VENTILSCHLIESSGLIED. From the drawing it seems to be a combination of valve stem and valve face.
