I think it's just an expression ("Jesus"; "Oh my"; "Common!")

My feeling is that it's a verbal tic more than anything else (like "quoi" at the end of sentences in French), and a bit old-fashioned with it.
Quite slangy.
So: "Mais je suis quand-même déjà en vacances dans ma tête..."
Maybe "zut" or something like that?
