English term

is alleged to

English to German Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
Context: "If the contract of employment of any XY Resource that is or was engaged in the performance of the Services, is alleged to have effect as if originally made between ABC and such a person as a result of the Directive or the Regulations between the date of this Agreement and the Termination of the Master Outsourcing Agreement, then ABC may within 14 days of such allegation give notice to such person to terminate such contract."

Leider h?sich "vermutlich dieselbe Rechtswirkung besitzen" so unjuristisch an. Hat jemand einen besseren Vorschlag? Danke f?e Hinweise.

is claimed to

I am sure this was written by a total ****, as the English is awful. I know this is not German, so I'm not expecting any points, but if you replace "alleged" by "claimed", then the GNS can understand it, and give an answer which will be correct at the end of the day...

"Claim" and "allege" are very close in meaning, but I think that "allege" here has the sense of "behaupten", rather than "mutmassen". In other words, the person is themselves claiming what follows, rather than that the claim is being made (or suggested) by someone else. IOW, I disagree with the readings of the two earlier answerers.
