Norwegian term

mediekjøkken

Norwegian to English Tech/Engineering Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng
This is a room or laboratory, usually at a research institution or laboratory centre. One example: "Avdelingen har eget mediekjøkken og produserer sine dyrkningsmedier og reagenser selv...".
Does anyone know what this would be called in English?

media kitchen

If you want to check out Google, use "media kitchen" + bacteriological, for instance - or you will be drowned in media matters like www.themediakitchen.com

culturing room

I wonder if this might be the correct English term. "Media kitchen" is too literal.
I get a few hits on google by combining "culturing room" with "biological".
But I'm guessing a bit here... :-)
Note from asker:
I think you're pointing in the right direction, Bill. I've just had another go with "cultivation laboratory", and that's looking like an even more likely candidate.
