floating dead and uprooted trees

As a result of flooding and storms we have a process - floating dead and uprooted trees, in turn this process contributes to creating logjams; wich should be cleared up

Russian корчеход = корч (uprooted trees) + ход (movement)
Peer comment(s):

agree Jack slep : used in the same sense as ледоход - ice run following a debacle (ice breakup).Корчеход ("uprooted tree run") follows break up of a залом (logjam).

log drift

Peer comment(s):

neutral Jack slep : A log is a SECTION of a felled or fallen tree. Here we're dealing with the entire tree. I know that's splitting hairs, but there is a difference - sorry!

"Here we're dealing with the entire tree". - Are you absolutely sure, Jack? What about uprooted stumps?
