German term

Funktionstrakt

German to English Tech/Engineering Architecture Hospital architecture
This term crops up a lot in my text, I believe "Trakt" can mean wing as in hospital wing, but I am not sure how to translate "Funktionstrakt".
Any help would be most appreciated.
Proposed translations (English)

dedicated wing

neutral Francis Lee (X) : one of the first options that occured to me, except: it could equally apply to the wards section; e.g. http://www.virtua.org/page.cfm?id=longterm_care_berlin_rehab
