I have no idea what this means, although it might mean upturned/curled edge, according to the images below...your ideas gratefully received.

I'm afraid the second picture is small, but doesn't reveal as much as the first anyway.
Context as follows:
Pensilina, modulare componibile, realizzata con:
- montanti verticali in tubolare Ø 114 di acciaio,con piastre di base per il fissaggio alla fondazione
- mensole in lamiera di acciaio tagliata a laser,sp. 10 mm,
- arcarecci in tubolare di acciaio Ø 50
- copertura in Alucubond sp. 3 mm, finito con veletta anteriore e posteriore
- tamponamento verticale in vetro antisfondamento 5+5, finito lateralmente con profili
Dimensioni massimo ingombro:
Alt. 2430/2180 – Largh. 1900 - Prof. 3000.

I looked up "mobile con veletta" and found the Muster-Dikson site (www.muster-dikson.com) If you go to the site, you have the choice of English or Italian is available. There are also good photos in their Artistic Line (mobili cassa, cash desk units). "Veletta" in English is listed as ""crosspiece in blue translucent methacrylate". I suppose that you could use blue translucent "shield" or "visor" as well. Hope it helps.

Hi Gary- not sure but looks like the purpose of the "veletta" (according to the pics) is so rain will run off to the sides as well. Maybe you could interpret is as a "grondaia" or "gronda" as on any roof-like structure. Maybe even rain run-off, channel, gutter as in my original suggestion, or some combination (like rain run-off channel). Good luck.
