I think that it will be understood that it is the "teaching faculty" of the school that is doing the inviting, and not the janitorial staff or the bus drivers. :-)"

Si el texto es para España y si sólo se incluye el personal docente (sin contar a las cocineras -de haberlas-, bedeles u ordenanzas, limpiadores, etc.). Normalmente los padres tienen más relación con los profesores o maestros de sus hijos, que son quienes realizan y preparan las actividades extraescolares.
