Since the document does not make it clear what quantity had been ordered for September (whether these 200 tons or some other quantity of which these are only part)I'm not sure of the meaning of "Aufkündigung" here, and available dictionaries failed me. Did Firma Y announce delivery of 200 tons, or cancel it? If anyone can shed light on this term, I'd be grateful.

Beth, it seems to me that Y, for whatever reason, cancelled/stopped delivery of the 200 (metric) tons that had already been confirmed for the German branch of X and that X called a meeting with Y so it could get those 200 tons and also make sure it gets the shipments it needs up through the end of 2000 and 2001.
