Der World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) ist ein Zusammenschluss von 140 international tätigen Unternehmen mit dem Ziel, Wirtschaftswachstum und Nachhaltigkeit in Einklang zu bringen. Dabei initiiert der WBCSD eigene Projekte, die diesem Ziel zum Durchbruch verhelfen sollen, beispielsweise Hilfestellung zur Ermittlung der Ökoeffizienz in den Unternehmen.
