The phrase reads as follows:
"Slowly and smoothly back vehicle to within a few inches of implemented tongue".
This is from a driving test, so I believed it might be something like the cones used for parking or such devices to test the driver's ability. But then I found "promontorio" as a translation of the term, a rise in land, a slope.
Any ideas?

La palabra promontorio viene a ser una pendiente, es este caso de asfalto, muy inclinada

En términos de conducción, es muy común utilizar la palabra "rampa" para poner en práctica el control del conductor sobre el vehículo... Esta rampa puede tener forma de "lengua" o tobogán por lo que puede referirse a eso.
