En mi opinión se trata más de un concepto relacionado con los temas vitales en la gestión de proyectos y en cómo se los trata.

Esta definición me parece que es la que más se acerca al significado de las frases (y el ejemplo que dan):

bridged, bridging: To make a connection across something, or close the two sides of (a gap, etc).
Example: managed to bridge our differences
