La rilevazione ha utilizzato i dati relativi a dicembre 2002 e a giugno 2003 in possesso di Isvap e Banca d'Italia. Ove possibile, si è perseguito l'obiettivo di confrontare i dati a disposizione delle due autorità per meglio analizzare i diversi fenomeni e cogliere incongruenze, errori o lacune nelle informazioni fornite dagli intermediari ovvero negli ***impianti segnaletici*** utilizzati da entrambe le autorità di settore.
Data la normativa italiana vigente in materia di vigilanza informativa sui gruppi assicurativi, la rilevazione ha potuto censire solo le operazioni tra banche e assicurazioni italiane: sono pertanto esclusi i dati delle compagnie di assicurazione e riassicurazione controllate all'estero, nonché quelli delle controllate estere di banche italiane. Nel dato relativo alle banche italiane sono, peraltro, comprese le operazioni facenti capo alle filiali all'estero.

: In that case could it be "alarm systems"? But i am not sure if all signal systems have to be warning/alarm for something. But then it depends on the context.
