Does your celebrity help or hinder the process of doing what you do?
Sometimes it helps. When I was doing the Kurt Cobain film [Kurt & Courtney, 1998], several people had seen the first Aileen Wuornos film [The Selling of a Serial Killer, 1992] and really liked it, so they went out on a limb to help me. Though it works the other way, too. I don't think I would be the first choice to do a film about the military for example.

بذلوا وسعهم

The expression means "Take a risk to support someone or something" (http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/158600.html), so you could translate it as عرضوا أنفسهم للخطر في سبيل مساعدتي.
But in this particular context I would just say, بذلوا وسعهم as I don't think there was any actual danger involved.
Peer comment(s):

agree Saleh Ayyub : Think it should read: بذلوا ما بوسعهم is that right Nesrin

Thanks Saleh - I just double-checked: بذل وسعه does exist (hundreds of search results for بذل/ يبذل/بذلوا وسعه/وسعهم etc. It's also mentioned in Wehr under بذل.
agree Iman Khaireddine : Both expressions are right, but I usually use بذل ما بوسعه as Saleh has just pointed out. I agree anyway :-)
