Dear colleagues,
I'm translating a fairly (or should I say highly) technical medical text on acute myocardial infarctions and I'm struggling with one or two terms.
The first term 'infradesnivelamento' is used in the phrase:
"Infradesnivelamento do segmento ST de localização anterior".
My translation currently reads: "Anterior ST segment depression", but I just wanted to check whether 'depression' is really the right term for 'infradesnivelamento', or in other words: is 'infradesnivelamento' a synonym of 'depressão'.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Gert

ST-segment depression
Yes, you're right again: "infradesnivelamento" here is "depression", i.e., the ST-segment moving downwards -below the isoelectric ECG line.
Good luck,
Elena
