union representative

I'll say "union representative". I think shop steward is "enlace sindical".

"The Shop Steward is selected by the other union members, to represent you with the employer. The Shop Steward is the eyes and ears of the union for the Union Representative, since the Union Representative can not be in the shop at all times. The Shop Steward keeps in communication with the union. Through the Shop Steward, you can obtain information regarding the union contract or answers to some of your questions. It is very important to know who the Shop Steward in your shop is".

"The Union Representative is a representative from the union who is assigned to service your shop. Your Union Representative negotiates for you and your co-workers regarding new benefits that are important to you and your family, and improving existing benefits. He/she also settles grievances, complaints, and other important issues. Get to know your Union Representative. You may reach your Union Representative in the office on Wednesdays ONLY. Please keep in mind that Union Representatives work out in the field. If you call your Union Representative at the office on any other day, you will probably not find him/her. However, you may leave a message in his/her voicemail or speak with one of the secretaries and they will call you back as soon as possible".

It's me again...

Just to mention that SHOP STEWARD is correct but a SHOP STEWARD represents the unionists AT THE WORK PLACE, NOT OUTSIDE.

Saludos, :)

union steward

I think this is more general. Shop steward tends to imply blue collar.
