German term
Raumführung
German to English
Marketing
Architecture
I'm looking for a way to express this accurately in the following sentence:
XY konzipiert und realisiert für ABC GmbH die "Raumführung" im Neubau in München.
and in this sentence:
Für das Gebäude der ABC GmbH setzte XY die "Führung durch die Räumlichkeiten" um.
The "Raumführung" is being carried out using "Signaletik" which I take to be "signage".
The sentences are bulletpoints in an advert.

orientation and guidance system
Suggestion.
I would choose such an extended version because Raumführung most likely refers to both, floor layout as well as emergency exits.

spatial sequencing
Might be one way of saying it, depending on the tenor of your text.
Introduction to the design process: analogical methods (drawing and model-making) are applied to the problems engaging human scale and proportion, architectural geometrics, spatial sequencing, and the temporal measure of space.

Third Year focuses on small to medium scale projects integrating design and technology, with special attention to organization, spatial sequencing, and patterns of use.
http://www.spsu.edu/architecture/curriculum/index.htm
Closely allied to 'patterns of use' as the above link shows.

Note from asker:
Thanks Helen, those were very interesting links but not quite what I was looking for in the given context of signage. I think they probably have more to do with architecture by drawing people into the space than a system of orientation. But thanks anyway. |
