German to English Bus/Financial Accounting Legal dunning / gerichtliches Mahnwesen

Unfortunately this otherwise technical translation has a financial section that has me struggling and in this case at a loss.

The exerpt below comes simply from a description of what this particular department (gerichtliches Mahnwesen) does in the company. The term in question seems to involve some sort of authorization/statement of an inability to pay/sieze assets which the non-paying customer receives after a court order is enforced, the result of which is that the seller writes off the order and repossesses the equipment.

Please let me know if, first, I'm reading this correctly, and secondly what the proper English term would be.

"Das gerichtliche Mahnwesen übernimmt von der Debitorenbuchhaltung den Vorgang, wenn der Kunde nach der letzten Mahnung die Forderung nicht ausgeglichen hat. In diesem Bereich wird dann über unser zentrales Anwaltsbüro ein Mahnbescheid beantragt und der Vorgang bis zum Ausgleich der Forderung begleitet. Sollte der Kunde durch die Vollstreckung des Mahnbescheides ein Unfändbarkeitsbescheinigung erhalten, wird im gerichtlichen Mahnwesen der Vertrag gekündigt, die Ausbuchung des Vertrages und die Demontage der Apparatur veranlasst."
