French term
appareillage
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Energy / Power Generation
The text relates to the construction of a power factor correction system. There is no context except that the phrase comes under the heading "Depose, evacuation et recyclage" and merely states that the client will be responsible for "l'evacuation et le recyclage du materiel depose, enveloppe et appareillage" Plenty of hits with Copernic but I'm still stuck for the translation. Help, as always, appreciated!

Note from asker:
Many thanks dianadevil. I had already found this term but it doesn't seem to match the other items - especially when I can't enviage the process! |

: I'd go for switchgear - presumably they are taking old stuff out and putting new stuff in.

It is fairly generic, as is "appareillage". It reffers to the working components of this power factor correction device.

Clive, I think it makes sense: "materiel déposé" would refer to items like cabling, cables trays, etc; "enveloppe" would be enclosures, cabinets, etc; and "appareillage" the gear. It seems to refer to all pre-existing equipment that is going to become redundant and be removed as a result of the new construction.
