couronnement d'acrotère

In building and masonry I think that this is something that protects against rainfall, but I have no idea what the exact English term is - a 'crowning of acroterion' sounds a bit made up to me! Any ideas please?

parapet coping
A parapet is the wall around a flat roof, the coping the element on top of it that sheds rainwater (so the wall doesn't get saturated with water) - can be metal flashing, concrete, tiles, etc.
