He is unable to use the concept of negative numbers on a number line in counting temperature.

He is also unable to round whole numbers through the millions to the nearest ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, or hundred thousand.


This a report of what a 10 year-old child cannot do in his math class because of some disabilities. I don´t get what this sentence means, anybody who understands maths can help me? Many Tahnks!!!
(Sorry it´s long but it´s the whole phrase)

lo que yo entiendo...

Redondear números enteros a la decena, centena, millar etc. más cercano.
Los números originales van del 1 a los millones.

agree Roger Parks : Sí. Por ejemplo, "500.089" se redondea a "500.000", o a "500.090", o a "500.100", etc., dependiendo del grado de exactitud que se exija. Este chico no puede hacer esto.
