Job board could be anything; proz.com is a job board. Unless more context can be provided, what someone has identified for someone is the best source of jobs - and it remains in the blue whether we are talking enduring employment or projects of limited duration. Jobbformidler is one who takes it upon himself to fill open positions with ideal candidates for a fee, which for a permanent job is typically three months' wages paid by the employer. Headhunter is another term for a variety of this species.

"JoboJob fungerer som en spesialisert søkemotor for arbeidssøkende. Vi har identifisert de mest effektive jobbformidlerne for deg, i hvert av de europeiske landene, slik at alt du trenger å gjøre er å taste inn dine nøkkelord og velge land for å søke etter de beste jobbtilbudene på markedet" - sånn omtrent...

The job board could be like a bulletin board (not bulletins board, Paul), or it could have many other forms. It could be electronic, or paper-based; it could be local or global. We don't know this, and sometimes it's our job to do the translation without this knowledge. Jobbformidler may be a job board, BBS-style, but job board may be lots of things. Go with the rounded expression that covers the most bases without becoming too vague.

Note from asker:
Well, the text contain the word Job Board, so what does it mean? Is it like an oppslagstavle? |

: Jobs Board not Job Board and what does the phrase "in the blue" mean. Asa native English speaker, it means nothing to me. In fact, the standard of English in this answer leaves a lot to be desired.

Hi Paul - the 'in the blue' was an inside joke easily understood by anyone with even a trifle of understanding of Norwegian. Where does jobs board come from? Whether you prefer this to the singular is of no interest to anyone but yourself.

: "Jobbtavle" or "jobboppslagstavle" would be more verbatim translations, but I like this one better as general term. Paul, where is your "humoristiske livsanskuelse"?

Jobs Board
Dear colleagues in translation. I appear to have ruffled some Norwegian feathers in my initial answer to the above question. I do apologise if I caused offence as this was not my intention.
best regards

: No offence taken - but what is it about job(s) board that makes it Norwegian? This is stuff we do for fun anyway, so why would anybody take offence?

I'm delighted that no offence was taken. Thanks Per!
