Thanks, but I think they do not mean the "onduleurs", since the term "inverters" is also used in the text - which I have translated as "onduleurs" - so it must be something different here.

Not 'transformateurs', I don't think I can't give you the official term, but I'm pretty sure that these 'transformation centres' are much more than just transformers — for a start, I'd assume that they have to convert the PV cells' DC output into AC anyway, so that it can be transformed via a transformer.

So I think 'transformation' needs to be understood in the wider sense here.

A mon avis il s'agit des dispositifs de transformation de l'énergie électrique des panneaux solaires en énergie qui sera mise à disposition du réseau. En français on appelle génériquement ceci des onduleurs.
