Mr. Fouad Yehia really solved the problem by suggesting the french origin of "bornage".I would only like to add that ترسيم is more commonly used today than رسم and I added the word الأراضي because the word may apply to the lands as well as the borders.

In agreeing with Yacout's suggestion, I would go so far as to delete both qualifiers. I think this will enhance readability without any loss of meaning, especially if the intended readers are technically trained.
