纹理和质地对应的英文都是texture。韦氏词典的释义有the visual or tactile surface characteristics and appearance of something; the disposition or manner of union of the particles of a body or substance; something composed of closely interwoven elements; the structure formed by the threads of a fabric; 等等。百度汉语对“质地”的释义是“某种材料的结构的性质”。可见质地和texture不完全等价，要看上下文。而计算机图形图像专业术语里texture都是翻译成纹理。
