According to Tanglsus' post here, apparently my interpretation of the original text is incorrect.
However, the quoted text is still equivocal about the subject of "然見解不能苟同處." It is unclear whether it is the speaker or those citing the Japanese scholars that hold different opinions.
Since Tanglsus seems to have the source of the quoted line, his may be a correct interpretation to the sentence.
