Discussion

Awad Balaish Aug 6, 2013:
One of order uses as a noun: (to show) the number of members of a finite group (for whatsoever purpose).
This applies to the position or rank of a student within a grade (class), such as successive achievements, based on percentage or GPA or even other than exam results e.g. students seat in the class.
Please see D, 18, order as a noun

thanks for the correction

I agree with Anis. Is there a specific reason why you don't want to use the word rank?
Anis Farhat Aug 5, 2013:
Hi Ms.Mandy K.
Student rank/ranking is the most suitable I think.

He is ranked foruth (4) out of 23 students.

agree Tim Friese : position, not grade. grade is usually either a letter "A" "B" etc. or a number, often out of a total "90/100".
